My Fabrics Selection

Today I received a priority mail from Be Sew Happy Quilt Shop . I am very happy to get it even though need to wait almost a month longer to get all the fabrics to Sabah, Malaysia. But I am very satisfied as soon I see the fabric. The fabric are very pretty and cute!

There are 10  patterns/colors of fabrics. Half yard for each.

I also bought fabric from local online blogs. Fabric Fanatics is the first online blog that I found and still buy some fabric from them.

Unbleached Cotton (As Lining)

Some linen and cotton fabrics from Fabrics Fanatics

Canvas and linen fabrics from May May Shop

I love to sew my own bags and learn from the internet. But it is sometimes difficult reading from the computer screen. So I bought some books from Amazon to be used as a reference.

From The  Bag Making Bible by Lisa Lam

From The New Handmade: Simple Sewing for Contemporary Style (That Patchwork Place) By Cassie Barden

This is a new bag I finished sewing. This bag pattern I learned from "The Bag Making Bible" By Lisa Lam. I combined 3 types of fabrics, designer fabrics by Michael Miller and Riley Blake as the exterior bag and Japanese cotton as the  binding. The result?? Wow! 2 bags in 1, no one will know you are using the same bag as the bag can be reversed. Click the shopping section to find out the price ya! ;)
